I had a quick and easy question (i hope).
I'm using the Visual Basic - Package & Depl. Wizard to create an installation of an application. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to change the icon that appears next to the application name in the Windows Programs list after the installation of the actual application. The default looks like the default icon on the forms in Visual Basic and I havent been able to find where to change this particaular icon.
Thank you!

Add an icon to one of your forms and reference this under PROJECT|PROERTIES - Create - Symbol

You need to change the icon to your project startup form as this is the one you will see in Start/Programs menu. To do this open the form and in the properties list select 'Icon', which will show a file dialog asking for the icon file.

Once you have selected the icon you need to re-make your project and build the installation again.

If you don't have any icon files then you can get some from
I can also highly recommend for easily designing your own icons.

Hope this helps

Regards

Jonathan
