Visual Age gets stuck on aix

hi,

im developing using AIX 4.3.3 and VisualAge C++
but when i try to debug my code the with the visual age it gets the AIX stuck and i cant termintate it until i restart the AIX machine

the thing is that i am new with AIX and visual age
and i never used the debbuger of visual age before...
so mybe i missing somthing ?
i there something i need to do predebugging my code?

do i need to compile a debug version first?
what are the steps i need to take in order to debug step by step using the debbuger?

i tried so far to debug as you do it on VisualStudio...
