I've installed Vista x64 on the asus P5n32sli se deluxe motherboard.. When I goto record audio in Nero SoundTrax.. I only have one option for the device to record.. it gives me "master" as the only option..

There is no option for "mix" or "what you hear" or anything like this...

I need to be able to record from the microphone port and capture playing audio on the PC at the same time.

I guess the alternative is to have to buy an outboard mixer device, but I know this ability existed in XP..

Anyone know of a workaround?

I've installed the latest vista 6213 APO driver from realtek, this didnt seem to allow more options either.

Thanks

Right-click the Volume icon in the Notification Area.

Select "Recording Devices"

Under the Recording tab, and in the guts of the window right-click and select "Show Disabled Devices".

See what that offers you

Well.. this worked.. cept the key was setting the "stereo mix" as the default recording device... then everything worked out correctly...

Thanks
