Our company want's to install several laptops for demo and seminar purposes. After each demo or seminar we want to reinstall the laptops by means of using a syspreped image.
We plan on using MAK licensing because we can't tell when these laptops are inhouse for reinstalling and there will be less then 15 laptops.

Does re-installing count as a new license request?
Is there a microsoft document were this can be confirmed or denied? So when we have 15 licensed will we be able to reinstall and register vista several times a month or year?

For Demo and Testing purposes you might get away with not Activating the machines, you could use the machines in their non-activated state until you decide what to do with them full-time.

I suppose the best place to get the answers that you want about Licensing is from Microsoft.

You can install Vista without a license and it is good for 30 days but you'll just have to deal with the annoying popups at login wanting you to enter a key. If you're going to do many installs over a short period this might be a good solution for you.

Cheers
Rob
