Vista IE popup

When a user loads and closes IE a couple of times, a IE popup shows up and the only way to close it is End Task. It is a medium size page that shows "The page can not be displayed........blah blah blah............" that IE error. :smile:

Any ideas?

Yes I know that this is the XP area but I didn't find a vista one. Admin's please move it if there is one.

Run any or all (I suggest all) of these freeware apps, most available at

http://www.download.com:

1. Adaware 2007
2. Spybot S&D
3. SpywareBlaster
4. AVG A/S
5. Windows Defender
6. A-squared free

Remember to update all applications before scanning. Use the popup-blocker in IE7, make sure it is enabled.

The machine is using SAV corporate and is behind a locked down watchguard firewall only certain traffic is allowed. I seriously doubt that is av/as problem and the machine is a new HP slimline.


I think i might have found it, a scheduled task for software that was uninstalled.
