Hi,

I'm having trouble getting my scanner (Visioneer OneTouch 5800 USB) to work with my Windows 2000 Server system. Faxing Visioneer was no help. Basically, it installed and worked for a couple of scans and then the PC won't detect it. The same thing happens each time - the "OneTouch Scan Monitor" hangs, and Windows Task Manager has it as hanging on the following:

DF4DDDE1-F540-11D2-9540-0040052FC4F9

Any help is most appreciated. Thanks!

wow - that's bizarre. thank you so much for finding this (searching on google for DF4DDDE1-F540-11D2-9540-0040052FC4F9 brings up nothing).

i thought DF4DDDE1-F540-11D2-9540-0040052FC4F9 was a registry entry, but i guess it's not? any thoughts on how to fix this? maybe uninstall acrobat? also, do you know where in the document tbis process number appears, since it's not in the text itself?

thanks again!

That's all I could find on it. Maybe someone else has some input.

Jim

should i remove acrobat, install the scanner software/driver, and then see if it works?

It wouldn't hurt. You can always re-install it. There must be some sort of conflict.
