visio seating plans

I have 3 floor plans (cad) with approx. 300 workstations. Is there anyway that if I make a change to a seating plan in an excel file, that the change will be made in my visio file (imported the cad plans into visio) thanks for any help -- big newbie

Not sure exactly what you're trying to do. If you're importing your cad plans into visio, where does the excel file come in to the picture?

It's possible to import a CAD drawing and use it as a background and then use Excel to populate shapes or labels on top of the plan.

MS has an example on their website.
