When I try to install Microsoft Visio Professional 2002 under Win 2000, I get

"Microsoft Visio cannot be installed on this computer. This product require Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 service pack 6a or later. Please download the service pack from prior to installing"

So it thinks I have NT for some reason. Anyone know how I can pursuade it otherwise?
I have the latest Service packs for both Win and Office 2000. I've searched the MS knowledgebase and google groups.
I hate being frustrated by such a simple roadbloack - please help!
Thanks...JW

There's a universal law that dictates, that the moment you admit to a large audience (preferably of experts) you're stuck, the answer becomes immediately apparent.

I was running in compatibility mode...

Fix:
1. Drag Setup.exe from Visio CD to desktop to make shortcut
2. Right-click on shortcut and select Properties
3. Select Compatibility tab in Properties dialog
4. Uncheck "Run in compatibility mode" box
5. Click OK, run Setup from shortcut and, joy, install happens

Hope this spares someone else my embarassment... JW
