Using Visio 2007 Professional I was wondering how I would go about creating a diagram that has the different background colors and seperation like shown in the following:

Using layers, you can create the background setup you wish and lock it. I have an engineering template that has file name, revision date, label, and xy grid. It is locked in the background and works great.

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...
 
Thanks for the reply. How do I create the "puzzle" look with the layers as shown in the drawing?

It appears he used multiple boxes with rounded corners.

You can also use the free draw pencil to create enclosed shapes.
