Just bought and plugged up a Maxtor 160gb Firewire HD into a XP (home) laptop with new PCMCIA card. In the Device Manager both the PCMCIA card and the HDD show up and claim to be working properly however the drive doesn't show up in My Computer. I checked the Network Connections window and the 1394 connection is there. Any help appreciated.
