Visibility of 'Backup Operators' group

Hello all,

We have an existing 2003 server running as the DC.

I have added a new 2003 R2 server, currently a member server, to which I am moving user directories.

My problem is that when applying the Security permissions to the folders on the new server, the 'Backup Operators' group does not show on the list.

What steps do I need to take to make the 'Backup Operators' group visible to the new server?

Is your list showing you local groups or AD groups?

Sorry for the delay in response - was on holiday. I can see some AD groups (ones that I created for example) and AD users.
