Hi folks,
Just getting back into foxpro programming (took 8 yrs off)
I have Visual Foxpro Professional 3.0 on the shelf unopened
from a couple of years ago. Was hoping to get a little
input from anyone who has experience in the upward migration from 3.0 thru 5.0 into 6.0. Just your general thoughts on upward compatibility of source code in particular. Thanks, Bob

You can open up your files from 3.0 to 5.0 (it converts the file automatically), but I am having some difficulty bringing a Report file back to 3.0... Make sure you do a back up of the old files.

If you don't need to open that v3 box, don't. VFP 5 was a major leap forward in reliability and usability from VFP 3, though technically there weren't a lot of visible new features.

VFP 6 doesn't differ that much from VFP 5, at least at first glance. Better support for COM and a few more functions.
