I was talking to another FreeBSD user the other day and he mentioned a ported app that allowed you to create multiple "virtual" servers on a BSD box. Each virtual server binds to an IP address and runs as a seperate server, allowing you to give root access to a user without endangering your own server. He said the port was called "Jail", but I have not been able to find it and I have been unable to contact him.

Does anyone know what he is talking about?

Thanks

Let'so go to
, select 4.2-RELEASE for the platform and search for "jail": it's a great explanation of the features of this command...

If you're running FreeBSD 3.x I think it is not available... but I'm not sure...

Best regards
