When you make changes in EPO, for example, to automatically clean infected files. Should'nt those changes show on the client machine in 'virusscan console'?? My client machines are still showing 'prompt user for action' even though EPO is calling for 'automatically clean infected files'. Any suggestions??

Which version of VirusScan are you using? If it's version 7.0, you need to make sure that you changed the "Workstation" configuration if you're looking at a workstation-type machine; and the "Server" configuration for server-type OS.

We are using VirusScan 4.5.1 SP1. Any suggestions with this version?

Ah yes. There is somewhat of a bug/undocumented feature there where it "sometimes" shows in the console, other times it doesn't. No worries though, as its the ePO agent executing the task, not the console. The task will still execute.
