I have just enjoyed a fruitless 30minute struggle with McAfee's techie chat, the most technical think about it was the fact that it was on the Internet.
I am hoping to get a better response from you guys, I always have in the past...
Situation:
I have someone forward me the virus riddled/suspicious messages they receive. I use virusscan 7.0 home edition patched up to the hilt with Outlook Express 6. When i get sent Klez (i know it's Klez, i've tried sending it to myself, sick or what?)
after the message is downloaded and i can see it in my inbox i get no pop-up nothing to tell me there is a virus!!! even if I try and save the attachments or view the email etc. The only way i can spot the F%%%%% is if i save the email as a .eml file then scan it using the on-demand scanner,
surely this is not right, any thoughts?
No Pain No Gain
