Virus Scan 6.02 not showing GUI on WinXP PRO SP1 on any account

I recently installed WIN XP PRO complete with SP1 before installing Virus Scan 6. When clicking the Vshield on the task bar it does not load the program. I tested the program using the eicar.com test and it detected it. I can't access the on demand scanner. I tried updating all the dat files and the upgrades to 6.02 and nothing happened. I tried using other accounts even admin but still nothing.

Have you tried reinstalling VirusScan? AVChap
... take my advice, I don't use it anyway!

Anyway thanks for the advice AVChap. I tried another work around on this thing. First, reinstall winxp, second install mcafee and update it to the current version then install the XP SP1. This really worked.
