My computer was attacked by a Trojan Horse virus.
I reformatted the hard drive and tried to reinstall
Windows 2000 professional. I receved the following message:
Line 367 of hivesys.inf is corrupted. Setup cannot continue.
I reformatted the hard drive again and tried to reinstall
Windows 2000 professional from a different CD. I receved the same error message. Any ideas on how I can get Windows 2000 installed?
Windows NT and XP both install with no problems.

Hivesys.inf is the file that creates the HKLM (Local Machine) part of the registry. Only thing I can suggest is to open the file in a text editor and see what the line relates to. It may give you a clue if it doesn't fit with your computer's hardware setup. (OK it's a guess, but you never know!)
