For the past several months I have been attempting to clear up a virus warning I get every night on my exchange server when the index process runs.
Every night a 9pm our exchange server runs it indexing process during this process it creates some temp files that are deleted at the end of the process. One of these temp files is causing the virus warning to pop up on the screen. Nav can't do anything with the file as it is removed by the process shortly after it appears.
The virus that it is reporting is the Sobig virus I keep my virus def's update daily and scan show nothing I have also downloaded the Sobig removal tool and that comes up negative yet every night at 9pm the warning returns. Other than the warning each night I have not seen any other adverse affects so I am 95% sure that the virus is not really present but something during the indexing process makes NAV think it is.
Any help would be great as I have tried everything and yes if if shut of the index service the warning no longer appears.
thanks
Brian
