We use ARCserve 11.1 and recently during a nightly backup job, it picked up a virus from somewhere (Win32/Virut.10188.B). ARCserve finds it, renames it and moves it to an ARCTEMP folder. My problem is that i can't find where it originally gets the virus from (what file or mailbox). Have looked everywhere with no luck at all and it's starting to drive me insane!!!!!!!! It has been doing this for the past 3 weeks so i would apprecaite any help............ :)

Managed to solve it myself....backed up our mailboxes in smaller groups, then found the group of mailboxes where the virus was....narrowed it down to the one mailbox and then went through each message untill all of a sudden one message in particular froze my whole machine. meanwhile, we were getting loads of virus alerts. And because i was trying to access the right email with the virus, we got an alert stating the email with the virus. Managed to permanently delete the email which contained the virus and all was good after that with no more virus alerts during the backup. [2thumbsup]
