Hello,

On my nt server the virus history is showing virus found on various machines. The virus has been marked as left alone, yet client config is set to either clean or quarrantine????????
Any suggestions???
Thanks,
Mick (Eggie)

HI.

Run the scan again on the affected computer, if it still finds the virus and cannot remove it, it probably means that the computer is infected and the virus EXE file is in use, so the anti virus is not able to remove it.

In that case you have several options, here are some:

* Download and use a specific removal tool for your specific virus.

* Connect the infected drive as slave to a clean computer with updated AV software, then scan it.

* Create the rescue disk set and use it (can be very slow if not using smartdrv).

make sure the av is not set to save the file prior to cleaning, otherwise it will just be put back on the drive.

I think I am having the same problem. Virus being left along, although configured to clean/quarintine. Did you ever resolve this problem (Eggie1)?
