Virus disabled Windows XP ackground Control

Virus and Spyware seems to be gone after running SpySweeper and Avast. But there is a BAckground screen with the following message: SPYWARE DETECTION"

I can not sellect any other background using Properties-background tab.

Where do I go from here?

This worked for me!

However I never did the Adaware part. The smitrem removed it but missed a trojan that it left behind. The Ewido removed that for me.

I am running the downloaded fix as suggested by M8KWR as I type this. I am truly thankfull for all your replys. I will reply with the result.

This is a 14 day trial of Spysweeper. Install and update the defs. and then do a sweep and it will get rid of that nasty.
