Virus detected message

Hello,

I have had a Virus detected message appear on my PC from Norton. The box that pops up contains the name of the virus and the object name (path)

the first message that came up said, "unable to repair file" the second message that came up said "access to file denied"

When I run a scan on my whole computer it comes up clean. Does that mean the Virus is still on my system? How can i tell if it is and how can I get rid of it?
