Virus Definition File Won't Update

I just installed NAV 10.0. The installation was pretty seamless, but during the live update, I received error message LU1806 that said that the virus definitions file could not be updated.

If I can't update the virus definition file, than the program is useless to me. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success.

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Amber

A simple fix sometimes is:

1. Proceed to add/remove programs
2. Uninstall Liveupdate
3. Delete the c:\program files\symantec\liveupdate\ directory (if it's not already gone as supposed to)
4. Delete the c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec\liveupdate\ directory
5. Download and install the latest version of liveupdate

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/liveupdate/2.7/lusetup.exe

If you continue to have problems with Liveupdate after this, please refer to the c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec\liveupdate\log.liveupdate file, open it with NOTEPAD and look at the bottom to review error message for the last Liveupdate session. Each Liveupdate session is clearly marked, and you may want to post the output here and I will have a look at it.
