Hello,

I have recieved an alert from our Anti virus software supplier regarding a new virus called W32/Bugbear@MM. I was told to make sure we updated to the latest DAT file and check that Port 36794 TCP was not open.

How do I check if the port is open?
I`m using NT 4.0 and proxy 2 SP 6.0

Cheers,

jono

telnet <machine> 36794

if it responds then you have that port open.

otherwise you can get something like 'nmap' to check your ports for you.
