Virtusertable and sendmail

Having failed to use aliases to get email for 123xxxx@mydomain.com to be directed into one mailbox, I have turned to use virtusertable and a subdomain.

in the virtusertable:
@subdomain.mydomain.com testuser

This is to get mail xxxxxxx@subdmain.mydomain.com to go into testuser's mailbox.

As advised earlier by one of us here in the forum, i have put up, the subdomain MX entry in my DNS mydomain.com zone record

subdomain 86400 IN MX 0 mailsrv.mydomain.com

But now my problem is the mail server.

It gives me the following when I send mail to test@subdomain.mydomain.com

Please advise, I think its my mail server configuration.

I got the answer! I just had to add subdomain.mydomain.com in the local-host-names file for my sendmail 8.12.9. This equivalent sennmail's cw class.
