I have a guy that works from home and he needs an extension on our system. He needs to be able to call forward the extension or let it go to voicemail.
So create a Phantom DN
To know where are Phantom loops: LD 97 PRT / SUPL
Then look for an idle TN : LD 20 LUU / TYPE 500 / TN "loop number"
Look for an idle DN : LD 20 PRT / LUDN
Then create your Phantom set : LD 10 NEW / TYPE 500 / TN "idle one" / DN "idle one" / FTR DCFW "Mailbox number" /SCPW "set password" / FTR CFW 12 to be able to remote call forward to where he wish
Does he need an actual phone when it is not being answsered by voicemail that he can forward somewhere? Or does he just need voicemail? The phantom will work if he just wants voicemail. If he wants a phone, then there are many options out there, soft phone, remote office...etc., etc.
little tough, ld 18 set up disa with a good password so he can use rcfw to change his remote dest from the road.. another possible way it to allow him to use his mb with the zero out option for callers..
we use it here, this is john, to leave a msg and page me just wait for the tone, to call my cell press 1, and i change the cell number to my home number when i am on call.. not that bad, i did setup disa but perfer the zero out
It will need to be a regular 500 set that is set up to FDN/HUNT to voicemail and then include a feature of CFW; then you can use DISA to change the rcfw, but it is a long dial string to do this.
You know the zero out might be the way to go. we have call pilot. So I could setup a phantom that goes to voicemail the call pilot could have an opt out for his cell number.
