Virtual Tape and Backup Exec

I've noticed a lot more ads for virtual tape appliances that let you use disk storage the same way that you use tapes. The appliance emulates different tape drives to fool the backup software into thinking it is a real tape drive.

Anyway, is anyone out there using these with veritas?
