We have currently moved our server from a in House Hosted server to a Virtual Server hosted off site. We installed the Outlook Client when we hosted the CRM inhouse. The Outlook Client worked well when we did this. About 6 weeks ago we migrated the CRM to a virtual server hosted off site. When we migrated the CRM we lost connection to the Outlook Client. We understand theat the address changed when we moved the server. We have tried putting in the physical address of the Virtual Server. We now get a message saying "the remote name cannot be resolved.: 'HTTP' " also we get The request Failed with HTTP status 401: unauthorized. I have full admin rights to CRM so this also baffles us. Would this be due to a Firewall on the server side?

The outlook client is important to our organization so doing without the client is not an solution. We need to be able to resolve this issue. Any suggestions or Help would be appreciated. Has anyone else suffered a similar problem when they migrated the CRM?

We are using MS CRM 4.0 and the latest download of the Configuration wizard. The Configuration wizard does not get past the second step which is validating the URL.

have you tried doing a trace route to see where your page is going? Sounds like a dns entry or something blocking in the browser.

We have a web address of the Site and we are able to perform duties within the CRM. The problem only arises when we try and set up the Configuration wizard for the outlook client.

I have even tried putting in the numeric address of the CRM in the URL box without success.
