Does anyone know of maybe a third party app that allows a receptionist to take incoming calls and answer by tenant? I know on the operator console that I can add a label for each DN, but that is only 6 that I can add. I've seen some apps, but nothing integrates with MITEL, or at least none that I've seen so far.

Basically, we are looking at providing a virtual assistant, who would answer the main lines for different tenants, but be able to answer depending on the company based on their own DID. I've looked at YA, but I'm not sure that is what I am looking for. Thanks. rp

I'm pretty sure the answer is Alpha Tagging but I have yet to see it work on inbound calls.

I am very much looking forward to hearing the answer from someone who knows for sure.

There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty.
Miss that though, and you're pretty much doomed!

At the moment i haven't been able to get Alpha tagging to work with calls directed to the operator console - however if you have calls coming in via auto-attendant and the caller presses 0 for the operator, the calls is presented with the callers name.

I have a ticket open with Mitel regarding this problem on Alpha tagging, they say it's a bug and they were not aware of it.

Hi,

Got an idea...have to try.

I suppose you want to supervise more than 6 different companies...right ?
You could create as many name tagged group as companies you want to supervise.
Reroute DID numbers (I suppose each customer have a specific DID number to be recognized) to its attributed name tagged group.
Route all named tagged to the main console number.

The name on the console should be name tagged group wich designates the name of the company your customers is calling...
IF it works, you should'nt have the calling number...but does that matter ?

Could you expand a little more on named tagged groups? Thanks again for posting this. rp

if this is a 3300 you can purchase vistapoint console from Mitel.

We actually have a demo from them tomorrow...rp

You find Named group it in hunt group form.

The specificity is about name presentation.

Ex :
When set A is forwarded to B, and B forwarded to VM, the name presented to VM is A. If B has a VM, but not A, you won't be able to let a message...
Is you forward A (and several sets) to B which is a named tagged hunt group, and if you've defined a VM for B, you'll be able to let a message.
I know we(re not talking about VM, but I've tested this solution which works...
That's why I told you to make tests to see if name (B in my example) would be presented to the console...

Keep in touch..

What about vistapoint console ? WHat is this ?
