Hi,
I have installed Virtual Server 2005 R2 on my Windows XP Pro machine. I have
created a W2K Server virtual machine which I have set up as a domain contro
ller.
I want to network the host to the guest but I am having problems. I tried th
e following:
1. Installed the ms loopback adapter on the host
2. set the ip address to 192.168.0.1
3. Checked "virtual machine network services"
4. Set up a virtual network using the loopback adapter and linked it to a vi
rtual network adapter on the virtual machine.
The host machine is not set up on any other home network. Is there anything
else that I need to do? I cannot ping either the guest or the host machines.
I am very new to this so may be missing something obvious, any help would be
much appreciated.
Thanks
Jon
