I am having a problem with FTPing files to my computer. It seems to be in the virtual memory. I am downloading over 4000 files. After it gets about a 3rd of the way done it slows down. I once ran out of virtual memory and I increased the size to the max windows allows. I am running WIN2k. I have 512MB of Ram but it seems to use very little of it when I am running the program, everything seems to be going through virtual memory. It seems as if the virtual memory isn't cleaning itself up after a file is downloaded.

My question is there a way in aspect to clear the virtual memory to improve my performance? Or any suggestions for performance improvement?
Thanks

Are you seeing this problem with a script or when you do the transfer manually? I can't think of any workaround for this if you are doing the transfer manually. I recall hearing of some issues in the past with large file transfers, but usually that was a crash when trying to parse the directory listing.

I see the problem while running the script.
It gets about 1/2 way through and it either disconnects or causes Procomm to Error.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
