Virtual Extension Busy on SL1100

I have an application with SIP Trunks, DID's, auto attendant and multiple companies. Have all working fairly well but question I have is this. I have set-up Virtual Extensions to act as call coverage keys. The VE is busy (in use) so when the next call comes in to that virtual extension no-one can hear it ring or see the VE key flash because its already occupied.

Example:
Virtual Ext 255 is Sales.
Rings on multiple extensions and those extension have VE Keys and 15-09 enabled for ringing.
Extension 101 answers incoming DID via auto attendant for VE Ext sales 255.
Other extensions cannot see or hear any calls that come in while sales 255 is in use.

Any work ideas, workarounds? Overall looking for the best way to call coverage on an SL1100

Much Appreciated!

The SL1100 is similar to the SV8100. In this case we would assign at least two call appearance keys (CPA keys) to each extension for call coverage, or the same ones depending on the application. The way it works is a call comes into the VE (CAR [call arrival key])key, when answered jumps to the CAP key. The number of simultaneous calls depends on the number of CAP keys. The same CAP keys can be assigned to several extensions. So when a call is answered and placed on hold an extension with the same CAP key can pick it up.

Greatly appreciate your response!

However, I don't follow. Assuming these keys you are referring to are in 15-07?If so, I don't see any keys titled that. Sorry for my confusion. The SL or SV is a bit new to me. I have been a DS/DSX guy for quite some time. Any further insight?

Thanks again

My experience is with the SV8100. In that system, you set up a virtual extension, direct calls to it via the DID assignment, or DIL for analog trunks. They in 15-07 add some CAP keys to the station. There is another command just for virtuals that should be set for "land on key".

Yes, land on key in VE Enhanced features is what I was missing.. Thanks so much you've been a tremendous help!

also CAP keys are not a feature on SL1100, well not in australia anyway
