Virtual Domain Help.

I am currently hosting

http://www.domainname.info

and what I would like to do is give my friends some space on that domain and thus jeff.domainname.info, deb.domainname.info, etc, etc.

I set up DomainAlias in Vhosts.conf but it stil doesn't work.

I then added a zone statement in zone.conf and created a zone file in /var/named/ but it still doesn't work...

Can someone tell me what I am missing?

For the apache porttion of what you're trying to acomplish, you need to set up a VirtualHost for each domain & subdomain.

As smah pointed out, you need to set up VitualHosts according the the Apache documentation.

If you're running Apache 1.x, the docs are at

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/vhosts/

DNS zones are another issue. Typically, you should have at least two nameservers that answer authoritatively for your domain.
