I running IIS 5.0 under Windows 2000 Server. I have several virtual directories under Default Web Server:

scripts, _vti_bin, PBServer, PBSData, Rpc, Printers, IISAdmin

are these critical virtual directories for IIS to run? or can i simply delete them from IIS.

I notice that on my IIS logs, i see people, accessing my web server, thru some of these virtual directory. I'm not sure if this is a hacking job, or a routine job by Windows, but i doubt it, 'coz i'm getting these ppl's IP addresses too.

Any suggestion will be appreciated!
