.VIR files

I have installed Groupshield and Netshield 4, Nt4 with SP6 and Exchange 5.5.

There are some TKQ*.vir files in the "c:\exchange\imcdata\in"
directory and their numbers are increasing everyday.

Are they the quarantine virus files from the emails that mcafee could not clean/repair ?

Can I remove they off safely by deleting them?

any help will be appreciated.
