VIOS and client's hdisk pvids

Hi,

does VIOS take care about client's disk PVIDs?

a client disk was discovered on VIOS with a PVID, mapped to a vhost, discovered on client side, and the PVID on this client has been recreated with the new one due to:

Code: 
 0516-1376 /usr/sbin/mkvg: Physical volume contains a VERITAS volume group.

0516-1397 /usr/sbin/mkvg: The physical volume hdiskX, will not be added tothe volume group.

0516-862 /usr/sbin/mkvg: Unable to create volume group

Does it matter the disk on this client side has now different PVID than the disk on VIOS side?

Appreciated your help.
