Hi,

Can any one Please point where are server logs in VIO ?. As we have in these logs in AIX /var/log/syslog/.

Thanks !

Hi there,

hmmm .... Should be the same in VIO as in AIX ...

Have you tried the following:

- login to the VIO using padmin
- Access the VIO's AIX OS using command "oem_setup_env"
- setup the file /etc/syslog.conf
- refresh the syslogd subsystem

?

So far I see no reason why this shouldn't be working under VIO as well if you set it up as described above ...

Thomas

Hi

I agree with TSCh,

As VIO is nothing more than customized form of AIX , location of logs for VIO should be same as that of AIX.

By the way , to check logs on VIO, you can try to switch to AIX mode by "oem_setup_env" and use errpt command
