Has anyone had experience using a Viking Paging Horn speaker 25AE. I had a Harris cone speaker go bad and I need to replace it. I cannot find a Harris cone speaker anywhere. Is the 25AE a good replacement for the Harris cone speaker?

is it self amplified so you should have no problems.

The 25AE IS NOT self amplified. It is an 8 Ohm speaker designed to be hooked to Viking's PA2A. It can work on any 8 Ohm amp but most likely you will need a 70V horn or a self amplified horn.

darn I looked at it when I googled it and it looked at first glance as it would be a self amplified horn, big mistake on my side sorry. So now stays the question is there an amplifier on site where the old horn is connected to or was it just straight out connected to the paging output and was self amplified.

a Harris cone speaker is just an 8-ohm horn, as opposed to a 70V horn, so the Viking one should work just fine.

Many of the Harris smaller PagePac's had connection for what they termed "voice coil", or 8-ohm speakers in addition to the 70-V output.

TTT you have seen it all haven't you??
