I have an IPO 500v2 R8.0 and a customer that has gone out and purchased a Viking w3000 door phone. They have it wired to the IPO and is in analogue truck port 1 on the combo card. I made a incoming call route line id of 80 and the destination to a hunt group. Under lines made incoming and outgoing Group id both 80. When they push the button I can see line 1 pre-alerting then drop. Is there something else that I am missing?

Wouldn't it normally go onto a station/extn port as oppose to a trunk port? Every one I do does anyway, but not used that specific model :)

They first plugged into a analogue station port. I could see on system status that extn was busy, but wouldn't clear, and I did make it IVR but they get a horrible sound coming from the IPO, so they unplugged it to make it stop.

But what do the instruction say to do? It's not cheating reading the manual :)

No, I'm saying read that PDF and make sure it's done right. Also you'll notice a station port requires additional hardware ...so they may have fried that port :)

Ok, just found out that the door phone now works. When they hooked it up, and plugged it into the co analogue trunk port, they didn't change the number of rings before it disconnects. They bumped it up to 10 rings and everything work properly. thanks for all your help, this saved me a 2-3 hour trip.
