Viking 1000b Door Entry

Good afternoon,

I have a Cisco 2921 Router (CUCM ver. 10.5) set up with both 4 port FXS and FXO cards. We are working to get a door entry system to work. Here is how it should work:
Out side ring down extension should ring to several phones. This is working fine.
Users should then hit speed dial button ** to open the door. We have one phone that works fine but intermittently fails when pressing the door speed dial. Others assigned to this group cannot open the door with the speed dial. We currently have this set assigned to an FXS port on our router. Anyone have any experience setting this device up? It is pretty much the same system that they had on your previous NEC system.

I tried this one. Dont recall having any luck. Even with Viking getting involved. Certain things just dont place nice with CUCM. In any case, I suggest getting Viking on the phone.

Might want to replace the Viking with a phone and see how it sounds. Perhaps the DTMF tones being sent are too short in duration for the Viking to pick them up? This might be a starting point.....

Is the 2921 MGCP or h323? If MGCP change it to h323 and try it.

Its a H.323. Thought we had it working a few days ago but it has been intermittent at best.
