Hi all,

I've looked through existing threads and can't find what I'm looking for but would be very happy to be pointed at an exisiting question.

I have an SBS2003 with a Vigor 2600.
I want to connect (one remote computer) to the shared drives on the SBS2003 via VPN. Both have static IP addresses.
Currently I do not want to have the remote computer as part of the SBS2003 domain (but could do this if easier), I just want access to the shared drive.

What parts of the VPN would you recommend configuring on th e Vigor and which parts under SBS2003?

I ask this because I have entered the details into my Vigor and can connect (to my vigor) but can only ping the vigor and not SBS2003. I have used XP inbuilt vpn and Vigors own vpn tool.

This is where my undersatnding stops, should I just be port forwarding on the vigor and handling the VPN under sbs2003 or can I do it all in the router?

Thanks

Keith

Resolved ping issue, can now ping my SBS2003 server from 'other end' of VPN.

I am missing something fairly basic in my understanding here..... How do I go about connecting to shared drives on the SBS2003 across this VPN?

Thanks in advance.
