I purchased a monitor off ebay recently. UPS shipped it, and did a poor job. The shipper had packed it standing on it's base. When it arrived, the base was broken, but the monitor appeared to be in good shape. When I try to power up, the power light goes on green, then you here a click, click, then the power light turns to orange and there is no image on the screen. There must be damage from shipping. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be, and whether it would be worth fixing. I don't want to spend too much on it. Thanks for your feedback.

Is this connected to known good system? The click you hear is a relay that turns on the monitor when video is detected. The lights are operating properly. When it turns orange, it means that video is being received. Can you hear the high voltage coming up (crackling hoise)? If not, sounds like serious damage. See if you can find a shop with free estimates. Did you save the box and broken pieces? If so, file a claim with UPS.

Hey Micker377,
Thanks for the advice. I don't hear any high voltage anything, other than the 2 or 3 clicking attempts it makes. I think there may be major damage, as you said. I have tried it on more than one system, with similar results. I will take your advice and see if I can get a free estimate. It seems like such a waste of a nice monitor. I am in the process of fighting it out with UPS. Thanks again, much appreciated!
