Views and performance in Sybase....

I'd like to know what the performance impact is to placing views over tables in sybase... we have created a dimensional schema and we are thinking of putting views over each table; how will this affect performance?? is there any drawbacks to placing a view over every table in the database... especially if it is a dimensional model (star schema)?

this database is used specifically for reporting and is a dimensional model.

any input from those who have detailed experience with views would be helpful.
