Hello

I've created a SQL view which collects together fields from various tables. However, each time I update the main database table, the new records are not displayed in the view. Refreshing the view or creating a new copy does not solve the problem, only rebuilding the view from scratch in Enterprise Manager seems to sort it out.

Am I missing something simple here? Any help would be much appreciated.

Try running the query from query analyser.
Unless the view is indexed there is no data held on the server so it may be being cached at the client.

If you still see the problem in query analyser then simplify the view to it's simplest form which still gets the problem and post it together with the table structure.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
