Viewing TIFF

I just received a file in .tiff format. Can someone tell me what this is and what app I need to associate to view this?

.tif is tagged image format, the standard (kodak) viewer that comes with windoze should allow you to view this or somethinng like paintshop pro. ***************************************

That is an Adobe file format I believe. Since it's an image I would go with Photoshop...but I could be wrong.

Photoshop was the ticket. I opened there and converted to jpeg.
