Is it possible for a administrator to go into a users profile and view their History under Local Data?

I want to monitor usage but do not want to log on as each user.

Matt

By default the Domain Adminstrator does not have access to the datastores of local profiles. But this can be easily remedied by adding the Domain Administrator group to the ACLs of the folders involved.

So, yes, you can view the history. I warn you that there is a lot of information typicly stored there, and there is no reliable time information as to the entry, among other limitations.

I can get to their folders but how do I view anything?

I drill down but all I see is a index.dat

It is blank when opened in notepad.

Any thoughts?

Matt

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\History

Notepad would do fine.
