I have created a report containing (BLOB) images of people. The image box has been scaled down on the report. The report runs without any difficulty in Crystal Reports - with the image appearing in proportion and at the size it's been reduced to. In E-Portfolio however, the images are not clear at all. In fact it appears that only a small portion of the image is actually being displayed. How would I remedy this so the images are viewed at the size I have scaled them down to? Any feedback would be appreciated.

There are a number of factors that can affect how blob images appear in CE. The most important factors are your database driver and your viewer.
In my particular case, I'm viewing Oracle Blobs in the ActiveX viewer. I tested the Microsoft Oracle Driver, Oracle Native connection and the CR Oracle Driver. The only driver which gave relatively decent Blob resolution was the CR Driver.
Various patches can also affect your blob objects adversely. A few months ago, I installed one of the CE80 patches which updated crpe32.dll. The upgraded print engine destroyed all blob resolution due to another fix regarding memo fields. I had to reverse the patch, however, I'm please to say that the latest version of crpe32.dll works very well and doesn't negatively impact my Blob objects in the ActiveX viewer.
p.s. I've found that my Blob objects are much, much more clear with CE8.5. That's a big, big plus for me
