I have downloaded a backup of a norstar system with norstar manager. Is there some way to print this . or view it .
there are a few references about using a rad to access a system that the config password has been changed .but using remote tools still requires a password . what is the correct procedure , please help.

I don't believe a 6/16 can be backed up. As for changing the config password see the FAQ this forum under 'Debug'.

i didnt want to have to short out the capacitor it seems a bit brutal . i guess i could arrange to do it after hours

the rad connected fine but to get into config i still need the password . i have never used the browser tool maybe that is what i need to try
i dont have any documentation on its operation.

my old version of NSmgr has a setting for 3x8 and another for cics/mics2.0/Other and that seemed to connect just fine i didnt try a download but the remote tools talked to it just fine.

i tried the DEBUG but didnt have any success i looked at hundreds o 00ffff fffffff and 000000 000000 strings untill i was totally lost .

OK.

Your browser WON'T work with a 6/16.

DON'T SHORT THE CAPACITOR!!!!!!!!!!!
You could do damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instead get a 10w 5-10 ohm resistor and put those leads accross the capacitor. The resistor will simulate a load and the current will disipate through the resistor. If you short out the capacitor all the current will flow through the circuitry and capacitor which is BAD.
Hold the resistor in place for a couple of minutes and your settings will all default. JUST DON'T SHORT IT!!!!

Good Luck
