I have a report with 6 subreports which is giving me inconsistent results. Sometimes I am able to view the report through either the e-portfolio or Crystal Management Console. Sometimes the process fails and I get the following message:

There was an error retrieving data from the server: "Query Engine Error. File ~ce126c3423b95e3d0.rpt."

I have also been unsuccessful in attempts to schedule this report.

Any ideas on why this inconsistent behavior exists and what I can do to correct it?

Could be any number of things, please provide more info...

1.) What version of Crystal Enterprise?

2.) What OS for the Server?

3.) What WebServer are you running?

4.) What is the backend Database for the Report and Sub-Reports?

5.)What is the method of connection (ie. ODBC, native CR connection) to the Databases for the Report and Sub-Reports?

1. The CE version is 9.0 (free 5 user license)
2. Server is Windows 2000
3. Not sure what you mean...
4. Backend database is SQL Server 2000 for report and all subreport.
5. Connection to database is ODBC.

Thanks...

I have already applied this Hot Fix and am having this problem...

Did you install both the PRODUCT and the DATA ACCESS Hot Fixes? They are two separate ZIP-files.
