I've not been able to come up with anything on this problem, and even though it's been isolated to only happening on the Citrix server, I'm still not conviced it's Citrix.

I thought maybe someone here might recognise this issue.

We have a application called Pilgrim, that is being accessed via a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5.

Users are clicking a button in Pilgrim, to view an HTM file (and we've now found this is happening to PDF and Office files), which should create a copy of the file in the user's Temp folder, then launch the associated app and view the file.

I opened one of the user's temp folder, and asked the user to try viewing a HTM file.
No file is being creatd in the temp folder. But the user get's a error box on their screen that says:

Cannot find 'file://E:/profiles/<username>/LOCALS~1/Temp/2d/PKG3.HTM'. Make sure the path or Internet address is correct.

Which the error makes since, seeing as how this file actually was not created yet.

Now if the user leaves IE open, and goes back into Pilgrim and clicks to view this HTM file again, it does create the file in the Temp folder and opens it fine in IE.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems like Pilgrim isn't creating the file in the temp folder, unless IE is open, but I can't figure out why.
